Basalt
Black-stone terraces with warm light in the seams
Broad black-stone terraces recede diagonally through a dark studio, leaving a quiet field on the left. Thin warm lights trace the foot of selected steps and climb their corners, casting soft reflections across finely textured treads. A long-lens camera keeps the slabs architectural, with a gentle bounded drift and slow light pulses. Tune the slab size, relief, light coverage, sheen and haze; move the pointer to brighten nearby seams. The scene uses antialiased meshes, depth of field, HDR bloom and tone mapping.
Rendering cost: heavy. A raymarch or escape-time loop per pixel: cap the pixel ratio, or keep it to a card rather than a fullscreen background. How to tune it
