Glass

A refracting, frosted sheet over the layer behind it

Source
A narrow street strung with lights, after rain by Rafael Fabricio on Unsplash

A frosted, refracting sheet over whatever sits behind it. The layer bends along the slope of the glass, the red and blue ends pull apart, light catches along the steep ground, and the frost grains up instead of banding. Point it at an image, a video, or another shadertown shader.

Rendering cost: medium. A few dozen samples per pixel: comfortable fullscreen on a discrete GPU, but cap the pixel ratio for a retina hero. How to tune it
