An orthographic city of square columns forms colourful terraced hills. Cool channels climb through violet and pink into sunlit yellow peaks. Columns cast soft-edged shadows across their neighbours, with cool shade gathering in the deep gaps. A layout seed reshapes the terrain and scattered towers, while slow terrain drift makes individual columns ease between height levels, resting on each terrace. Seeded square widths and a soft blur above and below the focus band give the scene a miniature feel. Adjust the density, relief, terrace count, camera and gaps between blocks.

Rendering cost: heavy. A raymarch or escape-time loop per pixel: cap the pixel ratio, or keep it to a card rather than a fullscreen background. How to tune it
