A stack of layers, each a field of fine parallel threads bent by a wave and twisted about the centre, every layer half as bright as the one before and on its own clock, so the threads drift over one another without repeating. A soft haze lies between them in the second colour, a pool of light sits at the heart of the cloth, and the whole weave turns slowly. Bloomed, so the threads bleed the way a cobweb does with the light behind it.

Rendering cost: medium. A few dozen samples per pixel: comfortable fullscreen on a discrete GPU, but cap the pixel ratio for a retina hero. How to tune it
