Film Grain

Stock grain, halation and scanlines over a slow wash

A slow, almost featureless wash of colour buried in grain, with soft scanlines over it and a halo around anything bright. The colour separates a little at the edges, the way film stock does. At low strength it sits quietly behind text.

Rendering cost: light. A few samples per pixel: fine fullscreen at full pixel ratio, including on integrated graphics. How to tune it
